Writing Barefoot

Dear Reader,

Well it’s official. Im back on facebook. No I didn’t get my old account back. 15 years worth of photos, pics of my Oscar, conversations with friends who are no longer here, all of it gone. No reason.…

Dear Reader,

I’m on the floor of my living room after a potchy and run-ie around-ie kind of day where I got a lot of things done-ish but I still have things to do. Sunday is a prep day for…

Dear Reader,

It always happens. Each time I take a step forward to better my life my nervous system freaks out and I manifest something icky in my body. It’s usually a migraine, fatigue or anxiety. Yesterday it was door…

Dear Reader,

Make the thing, share the thing, breathe, repeat. That’s the artists life I signed up for. I just want to make stuff, share stuff, rest appropriately in between projects and then start over again. Lately I have been…

Dear Reader,

I’m almost certain no one actually reads this blog. I’m not sure if that makes me delusional to keep on writing but, I want to. I want to write. I want to make things and I want to…

Dear Reader,

I have survived the great heatwave of 2026 and I have the eye bags of sweaty, sleepless nights to prove it. Today I am curled up catching up on rest and watching monster movies whilst husband is upstairs…

I’m actually writing this on a perfect Saturday morning. The grocery shopping is done, Ive had my chocolate croissants and coffee, husband is gardening, incense is lit, the fan is whirring away, Jodie Foster is in full vigilante…

Dear Reader,

Im reaching out through a migraine to write this today but I am determined to, in some small way, do something productive. I have tried to rest and relax for the last day and have somehow managed to…

Dear Reader,

I have to admit I’ve been feeling a little stuck lately. Not in any huge way but in a way that feels like I’m locked inside a comfy house but I’m waiting for my husband to show up…

Dear Reader,

There is list upon list upon list to my left. I’m behind on pretty much everything. I’ve spent the morning catching up on sleep, watching Smallville ( a new found guilty pleasure ) and filling my work diary…

Dear Reader,

I sat there half awake, half asleep and next to me in bed with a vision of death. He nestled in between the pillows calmly with a pointed hat, a veil that covered his face, legs crossed, entirely…

Dear Reader,

The rain is running down the windows, the coffee is hot, candles and incense are lit and I’m settling into the sofa with a belly still full of last nights Valentines meal. It’s a perfect Sunday. I love…

Dear Reader,

I’ve decided on a potching around the house-bloggy-cleaning-watching horror movies with a sketchbook- kind of day. I know that there are more productive things I could probably be doing but January lasted for 8 years and it’s finally…
